I'm baaaaack....

Well, I came to take down the "gone on vacation" sign and realized I never put one up.

Oops!

We just got back from a fun vacation on Galveston Island, you know.. the BEACH?  Well, funny thing is I did not take ONE picture of us on the beach.  Sheesh!

HERE are some other pics though.  We had a great time and my 15 year old said, "I had a really good time on this vacation."  I needed help up off the seat and had to write that down.  Whoa!

HIgh school soccer practice is around the corner and it will be time to get ready for school soon...  WHERE did summer go?

is the result of running into my bathroom when I am running out and opening swing doors.  I unfortunately came away from this incident with a piece of the poor boy's nose under my fingernail.  He is NONE too happy, just in case the picture doesn't give you the full effect.  So be forewarned, I take no prisoners.

Just one more sign I'm getting older...

You know you are getting old when you come to sit at your computer and you bring a glass of water.

You try and relax and light a candle.  No harm there, right?

Being that you are very thirsty, you pick up drink and know right off something isn't right but continue to bring glass to lips only to realize in horror that you are trying to sip your candle and your hair is about to catch on fire. 

Nuff said...

A or B?

Ok, this one is for all of you 'wildlife' types.

This picture was taken at my pond.  Which one is the real turtle?  A or B?  Now, don't rush... look really close -- this is a tricky one.

Ways to insure you break your back on the 4th of July

1. Plan big 4th of July shindig at your house and invite 18 people
2. Decide that you want to finish landscaping everything in your backyard on the chance that someone ventures out there
3. Move heavy rocks around and while you are at it, move all stuff around in the flower beds
4. Decide you need lots more stuff to finish the job
5. Go to several different stores until you find everything you are looking for
6. At the last store, Home Depot, load up on tons of goodies from said store to include things such as several bags of cedar bark mulch, new plants, large 9' round patio umbrella complete with lights, etc
7. Unload all goodies from above into back of beloved's truck that you had to borrow because all those things won't fit into your car
8. Try and figure out why key isn't working to unlock doors of truck
9. Look around and realize you have loaded all goodies into wrong truck
10. Try and make key work on wrong truck anyway
11. Give up and unload all goodies back into flatbed buggy
12. Unload them once more into the beloved's REAL truck
13. Come home and then help unload goodies again
14. Finish up all yardwok
15. Stay on feet rest of day

It was worth it though.  LOTS and lots of fun was had.
