What to do when the house is relatively clean? Well, if you are 13 and 9 year old boys in MY household you take all the pillows off the couches and make a fort wall and use the stuffed animals as ammo.
Above we see Shane at the point of impact.
I was given the highly confidential information that the smaller the stuffed animal, the harder the fall! My, he does look like he's on a mission there -- doesn't he? This face just says, "YOU are going down..."
Here is the other side of the wall... And in case you are wondering why Jace is hiding behind the Sponge Bobs, it's because playing fort is much more fun in your UNDERWEAR! I mean, why get all dressed up, right?
Here is Shane in all his armored glory!
You will be happy to know that Jace did finally put some pants on but I think this was only so they could both stuff pillows in their shirts and tuck them in their pants as extra shields.
Well I sincerely wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year's Eve and hope everyone is having as much fun today as my children I am!
Looks like fun! Hope you have a great New Year!

Certainly better to throw those than some other objects I can think of in the house. ;)
Have a Happy New Year! :)

Your boys are having more fun than I am today. It is a liitle sad, because for the first time our teeny-bopper daughter is going to a New Years Eve get together with her friends. She has always rung in the New Year with Ma and Pa, but now she's celebrating with her friends. It is so tough to watch her grow up. Happy New Year!

Mine are 2 and 4, and they're already starting to do the "fort" thing.
sigh.

Do they still do that at that age? Wow, what I have to look forward to :) ... in a good way, I thought all this fort building and rough housing would stop somewhere along the way and I would actually miss it. Now I know I won't have to : )

Looks like a lot of fun! My kids build forts and just hide, the throwing of stuffed animals hasn't occurred (yet).

Oh man! Those pics could have been taken in my living room - the same battles take place here, as well as at your house! Well, except we have no Spongebobs.
