And now by popular demand are better pictures of Betty the Beta. She is SO pretty. I couldn't decide between blue and red. I like the red because it matches the burgandy stuff in my house (does anyone else color-coordinate their pets with their decor?) but the blue ones are the prettiest. When I saw her, I fell in love because she has ALL the colors.
Also, some of the betas have little tears in the tails or fins, maybe from fighting? Her fins are all billowy and intact. I was talking to my sister earlier and she said she thought those bigger fins and brighter colors meant Betty may, in fact, be a male. OH well.
Here's Betty:
It's very hard to get a good picture because when the camera starts flashing she gets shy and likes to hide in the little plant:
Also it's very hard to focus on something that small and close up. But, there you have it. You have asked and I have given.
Happy Friday all!
:)
Yes, we asked and you are quick!

Beautiful Beta{great pictures}! We had once, "He" lived among a plant in a vase. Fun to watch... fun pet until a mirror gets involved. They get tired and soon have to depart to the happy-land-of-fish heaven. Hope your weekend is a good one.
