This is a typical evening at my house...
Jace: Mom I can't find my tae kwon do uniform!
ME: Have you looked in the laundry room?
Jace: Mom, where are my shoes?
ME: On the stairs where you left them.
Shane: I lost my homework papers!
ME: NO you didn't...they are on the breakfast bar in the kitchen where you were working on them last.
Jace: Where is my belt?
ME: On the kitchen table.
Scott: Where is the remote control?
ME: Have you looked under the couch cushions?
15 minutes before time to take boys to tae kwon do....
ME: Ok, where are my keys???
Mom, isn't it your job to know where all this crap is? :)

I can never find my keys. I had a roommate in college who had a cool little device attached to his keys. You had to whistle in just the right pitch and the device would whistle back at you.
He of course hated this device when trying to get a nap in, when I and others would make sure his whistle device was in good working condition.
